Our Winter Programs run from January 12th thru March 3rd, with the exception of our Make Your Own Movie Class which runs through April 6th. These are showcase Classes that end with performances (or film premier) for each class for family, friends and the community to enjoy. Showcase classes are stripped down productions that feature the talents of the students. Any questions please contact Erin at erin@citadeltheatre.org. All classes are taught by Teaching Artists who are professionals in the theatre industry. Classes typically take place at the Lake Forest Rec Center at 400 Hastings Rd, Lake Forest, IL. Tech and shows take place at Citadel Theatre at 300 S Waukegan Rd, Lake Forest, IL. Classes require a minimum of 6 students to run and a maximum of 25. Who doesn’t love the story of Glinda and Elphaba as they go on their journey to find themselves and where they belong? Join us for a fun journey of song, dance and acting with songs from the broadway hit Wicked!

LAND OF OZ

Level 1 Musical Theatre Showcase Ages 8-11

Sundays 1/12-3/2 12pm-2pm

Tuition: $375

Sing, dance and act your way through different stories and interpretations of the dorothy and her friends throughout oz. Acting and singing featuring songs from Wicked and the wizard of oz.

 

Make your own movie

Ages 9 & up

Sundays 1/8-4/6 11am-1pm

Movie Premiers during week of 4/12

Tuition: $400

What does it take to make a short film? Throughout this session we will explore the challenges of making a movie, putting together a production and acting in film. it will conclude with an evening of a movie premier for friends and family to enjoy. each student will receive a copy of their film. All students will get a chance to write, direct and act in each other’s films.

There is a $100 non-refundable deposit on all Musical Theatre Academy programs.

Classes need a minimum of 6 students to run. We cap our show case class sizes at 25.

Waitlists will be made in the event classes fill.
